The two weeks were the Semaine du Goût in penguin family. Because of that, pingu papa cooked almost everyday.

Blanquette de veau

The sauce was very very delicious. Penguins decided they will cook this one much much often.

There were so many sea food. Penguins even could angle many fish and oyster inside.

Poisson à la Provençale

Inside there were two fishes. Very simple but tasty !

Fondue Bourguignonne

The beef was very delicious. It was the first time that pingu mama ate french hot pot. Penguins also left some beef for Friday.

The three bowls were the three sauce that pingu papa prepared. Finally, penguins ate too much again. Hope pingu papa can still wear his new shirts and trousers.

Strange October

October was a strange month in penguin family.

In the beginning of October, pingu mama finished her 608-page book and argued with her ex-boss for the salary successfully. But finally her ex-boss decided not to publish it......

(Pingu mama was so sad .... Her painstaking effort now goes to the stock....)

In the middle of October, a little plant grew up in penguins' kitchen...They found it when they were playing in the sink ..... Until now, they still wonder why it could grow there..

And after one week, the strike was started !! Regarding of the strike, pingu mama didn't need to go to school for four days. During the four days, they watched the TV news everyday. The policemen also drove their helicopter to check what happened in the city.

Pingu papa even moved his big motorbike to the other side of the river to avoid to be broken.

Oh .... don't hurt my baby motorbike !!

Before the off day, penguins didn't know that at all. But pingu mama had to finish her weekly enquête. Cause pingu mama had to find someone on the street and asked him/her the questions on the fichier. So pingu papa had to disguise himself as a pedestrian. After the enquête, pingu mama also has to take a photo to prove she really did the homework....

In the beginning, pingu papa felt very funny to answer the questions. But finally he felt almost crazy cause there were too many questions and it took about one hour to answer it ! Haha, poor pingu papa. See this picture! Pingu papa looked so bored... He said "The questions are so boring. If you ask someone on the street, I think he/she will beat you !! "

But the only happy thing is that pingu papa can only answer the enquête one time. That means that pingu mama has to find someone else next time. In order not to be beat, the next person will be SEB when he visits penguin family. Hope he will behave well for the one-hour enquête !

Beaujolais

Pingu papa and pingu mama went to Beaujolais before the end of the summer. On the way to Beaujolais, the scenery was very beautiful.

At noon, they also had a stop at Pingu papa's previous house. It is a very big house !! Pingu papa said everything here changed a lot. It's not very easy for pingu mama to understand cause pingu mama has not reached his age.

After the house visit, they rode to Beaujolais and found a place for picnic.

Pingu papa also took two little grapes for tasting during their picnic.

The picnic was so good that they almost forgot where they were.

And penguins were going to have a little nap. zzzZZZ.....

Suddenly penguins were awake and pingu mama said: "No, it's not the time for sleep !!" Thus, penguins rode their motorbike to find the wine village.

During their motorway, pingu papa often asked pingu mama to do something dangerous....Pingu papa was really very strange...

Even penguins saw many beautiful places, but they still could not find the red wine village. Finally they decided to ask a pedestrian dog. Fortunately, this dog was very friendly and led penguins to the red wine village.

After five minutes, they really arrived !! Thanks to the kind dog !!

Then pingu papa and pingu mama knocked the door and talked to the guy in the beaujolais villages.They tasted three kinds of red wines together and then bought two of them.

On the way back home, they met the horses again cause pingu papa got lost.

The weather was very nice, but pingu mama wanted to siao bian very much.. so they were in a hurry to drive home as soon as possible.

Beautiful life

Last Monday, pingu papa made a pie, salad and tomates farcies au thon.

Pingu mama likes tomates farcies au thon very much. Haha !! Pingu mama always likes everything with tomates.

Cause penguins didn't eat salad for a long time. This day they were very happy to eat many salad again. The salad was the remaining material from their sandwiches for beaujolais.

They also left some pie for the lunch with pingu mama in the school.

And then had a colorline competition !!

Pingu mama cooked french soup !!!

Since last time pingu mama cooked 粥 and pingu papa didn't seem very interested in 粥, pingu mama decided to cook something different.

Here is the 粥 that pingu papa said it needed to be salted a lot...

The "something different" that pingu mama cooked this time was FRENCH SOUP !

Pingu mama used the following materials: a bottle of milk, chicken soup cube (we only have beef soup cube), mushrooms, ham dices, corn, eggs, flour, butter, cheese, salt.

Then pingu mama heated the butter and milk with beef soup cube in the cooker. (cannot stop stirring) After there're some foam on the milk, put mushrooms, corn, ham dices, eggs in order. While everything is well cooked, add the egg drop and cheeses. Finally add salt and add the flour with cold water. Keep stirring from beginning to end.

But it really tasted very very good !!! Ping mama cooked the soup for two dinners but pingu papa ~~and pingu mama~~ finished it in ONE dinner !! Although pingu mama cooked french soup for the first time, but it was really a big success !!

New door couplet

Today pingu mama changed the door couplet from 新居落成 (settled down in new home) to 財源滾滾 (profits pouring in from all sides). This one is much much easier for pingu papa to remember how to speak it cause there are only three voices! Let's speak it : caiˊ yuanˊ gunˇ gunˇ ！！

愛屋及屋

In Chinese, we say "愛屋及烏" which means when you love someone, you love his/her everything. Here we can check who doesn't follow this rule under the situation of "愛屋及烏" in penguin family.

Case 1: When pingu papa releases a chou pi, pingu mama only says "chou pi" but still stays with pingu papa.

Case 2: When pingu mama releases a chou pi, pingu papa usually says "It's time for cigarette"....

This week, there is another new popular game in penguin family. It's "move it" which is also a free game in iTune. Pingu papa and pingu mama could not stop playing it too! It's total 50 puzzles and they're going to finish it now. In order to know who is the smartest penguin in penguin family, they always have to try to beat each other. The result shows they're both very smart until now. Pingu mama's friend said the life with engineers is very boring. But it's ok for penguins cause they're both boring engineers.

This week also rained a lot. It is very rare that it rained so much in Lyon. On Wednesday, it rained dogs and cats. And it was unfortunate that pingu papa had to see the doctor and pingu mama had to go to the school but they only have one umbrella. Cause pingu mama's school is much much farther, pingu papa decided to give the umbrella to pingu mama.

So how did pingu papa go to see the doctor at that time? He had a very smart idea and it worked well. Everyone on the street could not stop looking at him cause he was really very smart. Everyone was totally jealous !!

These days pingu papa and pingu mama started to eat some frozen food. They found frozen foods are also very delicious.. But whatever they eat, they always argue who takes more food. Pingu mama always wants to take more cause the food is delicious. Pingu papa always wants to take more cause he really has to eat a lot.

And their little bellies is becoming bigger and bigger too. In order to reduce the belly size, they tried to climb the stairs everyday. Actually only yesterday and today cause they didn't go out very often. This morning, pingu papa even asked pingu mama if they really need to go the market. Finally they went and bought some tomatoes, onions and breads. On they way back, pingu papa counted how many steps they climbed from the ground floor to their house. It's 120 steps!! Hope the lift will be repair tomorrow or pingu mama has to climb them again tomorrow morning....

Cannot stop playing color lines ....

This week, the biggest event in penguin family is to achieve the highest scope in this game:

Pingu mama already played this game for many years. But she discovered it again these days. The good news is there is also one free color lines application in iphone. After pingu mama found it, pingu mama and pingu papa both installed it and played it all day long, especially pingu papa.

Pingu papa is totally crazy for it and cannot stop playing. Until now, pingu papa is still taking the title, his scope is 1986. Pingu mama is the second one whose scope is 1798. They're still trying to break their best record. Last night, pingu mama called pingu papa to take a shower. But she waited a long time and still could not hear pingu papa. She could only hear the game sound clearly.

Pingu papa also suggested his friend to play this game. Pingu papa said he must like it very much.

Since pingu mama got a box from her colleagues, penguins already ate noodles for several days. Last night pingu papa tried to cook something different. It's gratin de pommes de terre with sausages.

Cause penguins always forgot to take picture before eating, we could only see a little potato and half sausage.... Tonight they will cook some omelete, hope they will remember to do something for their readers.

Fourviere Basilica

This Monday, penguins visited Fourviere Basilica.

Why did they want to visit this church? Because the church is in front of their apartement, they thought this church must be close to their home. And actually, it's really very far ! They walked about one hour to reach this church in the rain.. And their petit legs were almost broken...Even so, they were still happy and took many pictures.

On the way to the church, you can see the view behind penguins which is really very far... And there is nobody near too ! It made the ambience was a bit scaring.. haha

Then pingu papa started to do something stupid... He thought he could fly in the sky but his belly was too heavy at that time.

In the long walking way, Seb called pingu papa and they had a short talk. They were talking about the joke of a white cat and a black cat which is really very interesting. Pingu mama likes this joke very much.

After crossing the parking lot, we could see the road to Fourviere Basilica. And the rain and the wind also stoped. The wind was really strong and it made our umbrella blooming many times... = =

Finally penguins arrived the back side of the church. And they still saw nobody. They decided to go to the front.

When penguins went to the front, they found here was full of tourists. In order to take pictures with the church, they had to wait a bit. But the church is really beautiful. There is also many details on the wall which was written in latin.

Cause penguins arrived here too late, they could not enter the church to see what's inside. They could only climb to the top of the church. Haha, penguins were very proud of this picture. That shows they could still climb even though they have big bellies now.

In the left of the church, penguins could also see the view of the city but from another side.

Here is a building with many chinese words. The biggest one is " 愛 " which stands for " love ".

After looking around everywhere, penguins chose the fastest way home. It was a bit dangerous but they're courageous penguins. Nothing will scare them. See !

Mapo tofu again

Last Sunday, it's the first time that pingu mama steamed some rice for pingu papa. Before pingu papa always ate rice by boiling them in the water. In order to cook rice in Taiwanese way, they also bought a bag of rice and transported them by their little trolley last week.

After they arrived home, pingu papa asked pingu mama how to cook the rice many times. Now he is obviously a Mr. WHY.

Sunday morning, when pingu mama got up, she went to the kitchen for steaming the rice which takes a lot of time. Then at noon, pingu mama cooked mapo tofu again. This time they used the real sichuan sauce with tofu which is terrible spicy. Also pingu papa fried some vegetable with soy sauce in Taiwanese way. If someone just meets him first day, he or she will think pingu papa is bouchon Taiwanais.

Finally, penguins had a very nice but spicy lunch. They're always happy to eat something different everyday. They will also keep developing different Fran-Taiwan way to cook BON food. Please follow this blog for all the updates!

Sichuan mapo tofu

After Sichuan spicy hot pot, penguins decided to try something also from Sichuan. The one they tried today is "Sichuan mapo tofu". The recipe is quite easy and they spent about 30 mins. EASY and DELICIOUS ! !

Préparation:
(1) Cut tofu, garlic, ginger, green onion into pieces. (2) Fry the "poivre du sichuan" a bit. Then put it aside. (3) Put chili bean sauce, garlic, ginger and green onion in the cook and fry them together. (4) Until the smell is good, put mimced beef inside and fry them all together. (5) Add tofu, soy sauce, a little suger, and some water, then turn the fire smaller. (6) Cook them about 10 mins. (7) Add sesame oil, poivre du sichuan. (8) Ready to eat !!

During the cooking, pingu papa cannot stop saying : "Oh it already smells good now! " Pingu mama was even worried pingu papa would finish them before it was already.

But finally pingu papa didn't have too many chances to steal the tofu cause he has only one hand to fight with pingu mama. Then pingu mama put them on a dish and they shared it with rice.

Was it good ? Bien sûr ! 好吃 !!

First spicy sichuan hot pot in 企鵝家

This Wednesday was an important meeting day for penguin family. Cause of that, penguins went to chinese shop to buy plenty of food and they decided to eat chinese hot pot on Tuesday night.

The hot pot package they bought was the taste of Sichuan hot pot which is famous of very spicy sauce. But penguins were not worried about that at all because they're both spicy engineers.

Before the dinner, penguins also went to supermarket to buy some fish and meat for their hot pot. On the dinning table we could see there were trout, pork, chicken, tofu, bell pepper, mushroom, eggs, and the pou pou chou...

During the dinner, pingu mama was obviously une bonne cuisinière (大廚). She was skilled in dealing with all the food and pingu papa was skilled in eating at that time. The Sichuan hot pot was really très très très spicy !! Their mouths were almost firing all night along !!

See !! It's the first time for pingu papa to eat spicy hot pot and he was so happy to eat spicy hot pot. He didn't even care that he might pou pou a lot in school tomorrow. And pingu mama was wondering how about his first shit tomorrow morning. (Usually it's amazing when someone eats spicy hot pot at first time. Oh la la~~)

Wednesday mornday, pingu papa had a very hot pou pou and then went to the school. After the pou pou, pingu papa behaved quite well in the shcool. He only talked to his classmates sometimes but it didn't matter.

Seb's visit

August 6th, penguins' friend Seb came to visit them. Before his arrival, pengu papa and pingu mama were waiting for him in front of the port (as we know, seals swim quite well). But this time Seb swam too slow to be on time. But it was ok cause penguins also arrived late. When they arrived the port, they stood in front of the port and waited.

When Seb arrived the "port", penguins were happy to see him. They could find him easily cause his new very short haircut which made him to become the most handsome seal in the port. It really worked cause he was the only seal in the port.

Then penguins took Seb home. They prepared food, drink, music and party all night along. During the petit party, they could not stop talking and singing until the morning.

Pingu mama also fried some dumplings cause pingu papa said Seb wanted that very much.

Cause the party area is too big that pingu papa had to use binoculars to see Seb. The sight of pingu papa is not very good.

When talking about music, pingu papa and Seb were very excited to find out the lyrics and sang loudly. They found pingu mama was quite cool and tried to make her crazy a bit. But they could not succeed.

August 7th, they all got up very late and they were lazy to do something. Pingu papa and seb kept talking in the living room until the afternoon. Cause their plan on Saturday night was to have dinner in bouchon lyonnais, they went out for a walk along la Saone in the afternoon.

Before their walk, pingu papa insisted on wearing his sissy shoes.

Pingu papa didn't shave his face for almost three weeks. Now he really enjoyed to look like a pirate. But he was also a bit sad that he had to shave next week.

They just walked a bit and pingu papa already felt tired. He tried to put out his tongue to feel not so hot. (like a dog ?)

On the bridge, pingu papa and Seb were looking at la Saone.

La Saone is very beautiful. They walked until the night and then went to bouchon lyonnais.

Cause it was Saturday night, there were many customers in bouchon lyonnais. Penguins and Seb decided to watch at some certain customers to make them finish their food quickly. This strategy seems efficient. After that, penguins and Seb could have a table soon. They ordered a lot of gloubi boulgas and enjoyed very much. Pingu papa was totally drunk cause he mixed gloubi boulga with red wine. (Since no one knows what's inside gloubi boulga, you have better not to mixed them with something else.)

" V " is a very popular expression when peoeple take pictures in Taiwan. Obviously, Seb adapted himself as Taiwaneses do quite well. He also learned how to say " 靠 (kao) 腰 (yao) " as well. (靠腰 is one of the filthy chinese. You can use it when you're in bad mood.)

August 8th, pingu papa and Seb didn't take shower for two days. Finally, they had to shower on Sunday morning even they really didn't want but they were too dirty.

After their shower, they were very happy and wanted to be dirty again. They went downstair and played something with the slope in the ground floor.

Happy time always flies fast. Cause Paris is a bit far, Seb had to swim earlier. Penguins gave him a big hug and then sent him to the port to Paris. They all enjoyed this weekend together very much and hope they will meet again soon.

Bon voyage , Seb !

No one knows if Seb arrived the port exactly. But pingu papa should be heavy enough for the distance.

Important day for Penguin Family

Just a short news cause we are too busy today to write a long article....but the Penguin Family has the Key of thier new Igloo !!!

麵線糊 was soooooo successful ! Penguins couldn't stop eating at all !! They started to cook at 8:00PM and spent about one hour. But the waiting time was worth cause they really got a very good result as the dinner. Pingu papa said he didn't want to eat that but he ate the noodles for three persons !! (Pingu mama cooked the noodles for four persons and she only ate one-person noodles.) Now pingu papa has a three persons' belly for food storage.

Does the 麵線糊 look good ? Cause penguins didn't have the right cornflour for 麵線糊, finally they used wheat plain flour which they bought for dumplings. Pingu mama had no problem with the different flour cause she is a big chief now.

麵線糊 works:

1. Cut carrots, mushrooms, tree-mushrooms, and pork meat balls into small pieces - by pingu papa

2. fry everything of step 1 in the plate - by pingu papa

3. boil the water and put everything of step 2 in the cooker - by pingu mama

4. put thin-threaded noodles in the cooker - by pingu mama

5. make egg flower (egg drop) into the cooker - by pingu mama

6. put the wheat plain flour into the cooker - by pingu mama

7. eat - 75% pingu papa et 25% pingu mama

Pingu papa said he may go to the hospital tomorrow morning cause he really ate too much 麵線糊. Will he ? haha !!

We have no picture for the breakfast, too busy as cooking then no time to take pictures. The Breakfast was 蛋餅 cooked by Pingu Mama. Ok, Pingu papa is ready to eat that every morning :-p

For lunch, Pingu Papa discovered 湯圓 !!!!!!!
Now it is usual to see Pingu mama working in the kitchen, look :

Every day pingu papa asks pingu mama: "What do you want to eat for lunch or dinner ?"

Pingu mama always replies:

Pingu mama is really a noodles fan. If there is a noodles group in facebook, pingu mama must join it right now !! This noon penguins found there were still some pork meat balls in their fridger. That was the grounds that pingu mama cooked noodles as their lunch. Hahah...

Lunch works:

pork meat ball - cooked by pingu mama

noodles and sauce - bought from chinese shop

eggs - bought from supermarket

mix everything together and cook them - by pingu mama

After pingu mama cooked the delicious noodes, pingu papa was not hungry at all but finished all noodles ! That's really strange !

After the lunch, penguins went shopping to buy more noodles, dumplings, and 包子s ! Hope they can finish all the foods before leaving the old house.

Lazy pingu papa

Today was a very tiring day cause penguins both slept too late last night, especially pingu papa. He was much much lazier than usual.

After penguins came home at 18:30, pingu papa lie on the sofa and pingu mama went to do exercise. When pingu mama finished her exercise about one hour and came back home, pingu papa alomst became one part of the sofa.

Cause pingu mama did exercise hardly, she was so so so hungry. Then penguins went to the bakery and prepare salad as their dinner.

Dinner works:

Tomato - cut by pingu mama

Egg - boiled by pingu mama

Corn - bought from supermarket
Tuna - bought from supermarket

sauce - bought from supermarket

Mix everything together - pingu papa

Aujourd'hui, nous sommes sortis dans le vieux Lyon, tout près de notre nouvel appartement, pour manger dans un Bouchon Lyonnais. After a short ride with the motobyke, we walked in the old city of Lyon to find out a nice "Bouchon Lyonnais" restaurant. All people in the street couldn't help saying : oh ! these Penguins are so cute !!!

We also saw a 3D TV for the first time...Impressive, it really works...but I feel like you get a headache quickly if you watch a movie....I guess the technology has the be improved a bit more...

Une petite place isolée au calme, une terrasse à l'ombre des bâtiments anciens de Lyon, une carafe de Beaujolais et nous étions près pour un diner en amoureux...

Restait à choisir le menu....ah là là là...pas simple pour Pingu Papa d'expliquer la carte à Pingu Mama !!!
Finalement, Pingu papa a décidé du repas. Faisant des choix plus ou moins arbitraires pour faire gouter des plats typiques tout en essayant de choisir des choses que Pingu mama devrait aimer.

It was the opportunity for Pingu Mama to work French with the Menu...and the MAGIC IPOD. How could we do with no iPod and iPhone ?
For sure, it was also an oportunity for Pingu Papa to....be stupid as usual !!!

Finaly, with almost blowing up bellies, we had a little walk, back to the motobike....Pingu Mama took some pictures by night.

Wow !!! it is already 2:15 am and we have to get up at 6 tomorrow !!!! Let's go to the Pingu broken bed....

Pingu papa really has a very good cooking skill. He almost never failed for all kinds of food. Everytime, when pingu papa cooks, penguins usually don't need to worry if they will eat something strange for dinner, like dumplings ?

Ths potato they ate tonight was really very delicious and easy. (EASY for pingu papa to cook and EASY for pingu mama to eat.)

Fête de la Musique

This Monday pingu papa and mama went to la Fête de la Musique. Before they went there, pingu mama cooked some noodles as their dinner. But pingu papa was still very hungry and wanted to find something to eat. After they arrived La Saône, there were all musicians everywhere. They walked around and took hands by hands.

The area they went is very close to the city hall. This afternoon they also went out to have a drink there. The city hall with the blue sky looked very beautiful. Thanks for the camera from pingu mama's friend ! It's very useful for capturing the light, especially during the night.

In front of the city hall, there is a plaza. Many people played their skates there. Pingu papa was imagining that he was riding a horse like the statue behind us. Haha!

In the plaza, there is also a strange person. Pingu mama wanted to take a picture for him but he ran away very quickly.

Since the strange guy ran away and nothing interesting here, penguins decided to move to the river. See the sunlight from the west, we were closer to the night and the music show !

OK. Let's follow the light and move to the musicians !

Here is the first two bands they saw. Most people there were eating and waiting for the musique at that time. The pink girl in the right picture enjoyed the music very much. She was happy to watch the show and shook her hands by the tempo.

"Sleeping" was working hard to play the music for sleeping. But everyone came here for a spree. Nobody wanted to sleep. "Sleeping" had very few sleeping listeners.

"Long hair" started to make noise after "sleeping". Cause younger people felt excited about the noise, many listeners stayed here and seemed very happy with them.

This is a very strange team cause one guy put a black G-String on his head.

This team was very excellent. But pingu papa and mama arrived too late cause they spent too much time in "Long hair" and "G-string". They could enjoy only three songs and the three musicians are really very excellent and interesting with their various voice. Finally they also invited pingu mama to sing a song for all listeners. (Hope they understood pingu mama's lyonnais french at that time.)

Then pingu papa and mama found a lot of dancers in the left of the stage. They are all artists from Friche RVI. Friche is no-use factory. Many artists in Lyon spent a lot of time there. Now the factory will be taken back for other commercial use. In terms of that, all the artists from Friche RVI want to get people to sign their petition during the festival.

Friche dancers were dancing for the show. After their dance, a very "tall" guy went into the place and spoke something about Friche RVI to everyone. But pingu mama could understand very few words at that time.....

This team was also very good. They controlled the tempo very well. Pingu papa and mama stayed here for a long time. Then they decided to move to other teams.

They saw a magician, a Ireland music team, and ate a ice cream with chocolate and tiramisù. Pingu papa was very happy to eat the ice cream cause he likes chocolate very much.

Pingu papa and mama decided to go home cause the moon. Penguins are very afraid of wolf men and there is one thing important to do quickly - toilet!

They rode their cute motorbike along la Saône where they will live in July. The river, the light, and the music are very nice tonight. Penguins were happy together. This night they slept very well. No one know if they remembered to take a shower before going to bed, but who cares if they are happy together.

Since our best friend pasta had its last rest, penguins used their pasta machine and cup to segment the it into plenty of circle dumpling wrappers !

See! The following is the first dumpling they made! ! A little too big.. but look nice!

Well begun is half done! Then penguins keep making more and more dumplings but smaller. Haha~ They really looks very cure and delicious !

Then put some of the dumplings into the steamer. Wait for one hour.. The hungry penguin couple cannot wait to eat their cute dumplings !!!!!!!!!!

Oh la la !! Delicious fr-tw dumplings are finally done !! It's 7:55 PM ! Almost three hours !

Penguins already kneaded the second dough for wonton wrapper ! (something like dumpling).

Let's see if they can make a good wonton too !!

Tonight, penguins are preparing their dumplings as dinner. In order to make delicious dumplings, they came to the supermarket yesterday afternoon and purchased a lot of materials for it.

This morning, they got up very late and played their computers. Once they felt hungry and decided to make dumplings, they found they have to spend two hours to rest the pasta for dumpling skin....OMG! ~>_<~

OK. That's all right.. They tried to fight with hungry and kneaded the dough. After one hour, the pasta looked slick and they put it in a rest....

Under the light, the pasta looked very lonely. That's its last moment to live in the world. After the two hours, it will go to the paradise.

During the waiting time, penguins started to make their stuffing for dumplings. They put fried onions, carrots, mushrooms, beef, sesame oil, barbecue sauce and girs pepper in two bowls. Everything is cut into small cubes and mixed together.

Finally, pingu papa and pingu mama met in London on June 9!

They visited Bunny's country and had a lot of fun to be together even they walked about 20 km in the two days.

After the 20 km, pingu papa is really becoming a sport man and he decided to walk more. In terms of that, pingu papa and mama came to Buckingham Palace and just saw the demonstration of Praetorian Guard.

After the demostration, they walked in the green park and played with the camera....

During their trip, they ate a lot of delicious food, like English breakfast with fried eggs, sandwiches and Spanish tapas.

After they came back to 企鵝家, pingu mama became fater about 0.5 kg and pingu papa had a bigger belly which is in front of his small belly.

Now their next step is to ~~engjoy the food~~ lose weight together. Hope they can succeed soon. (Now they are eating again ...See! That's their lunch!)

New information about the Pingu family secret mission

Our best investigator could gather more information after a long and difficult investigation. We can now say that the Pingu Family is going to United Kingdom for a secret mission. It seems their mission concerns some of the most important places of London, like Big Ben, Sherlock Holmes house, etc...

It is possible that all these places are just to slip past local authority's guard. Indeed, our investigator thinks that Bukingham Palace's infiltration is the most important mission.

We don't know yet the main goal of the mission but it is probably related to the recent elections in UK. We could talk to the doggies of Queen Elisabeth who said there is a hot and important topic about the coming of penguins inside the gouvernment....

Pingu papa is going to work...

Usually he rides his big motor to the office.

His colleagues are all seals cause there are too many seals in the south pole.

And seals are very interesting.
Pingu papa alwasy says there is a lot of fun in their office.

My iPhone: How technology makes me being Taiwanese ?

There are lots of very interesting applications for iPhone. I am really very happy with my iPhone, not only because it is a great gadget and I love geeks, but because it makes me being a bit Taiwanese. Bellow, my background and all applications about Chinese and Taiwan.

First of all, I can use the built-in chinese writing system, pinying, hand chinese writing, bopomofo is also available. For example I can send sms in Chinese !!!! :-)

I get realtime satellite picture and weather forecast in Taiwan. I guess this will make we worrying when I'll see typhon !!

I am also able to listen to Taiwanese radios, the one which works the best is "A long Journey". The music is not bad and when people are talking, it trains me to hearing Chinese and language's rhythm even if I can't understand, I just recognize some words or little parts of sentences. 我听音乐（音樂）
I can have Chinese TV, for the moment I didn't buy the application yet (3€), I can only watch 2mn movie. I'll maybe buy it, because almost everything is subtitled and it seems to be helpful to train to chinese.

But the greater applications are for language study.
iCED dictionnary for English and Trad./Simp. Chinese is terrific. It is full, gives composed words and many details, it shows big size Chinese words to train to writing for beginners.

It also shows full details and examples of how to use...

I can make my own vocabulary lists (flashcards). Thus I can follow up the vocabulary I learn in class and focus on it, getting all details when I need. I ordered the vocabumary by fields like : verbs, family, animals, date and time,....

I have 3 dictionnaries, this one is the best, but an other one allows me to focus on specific lists of vocabulary gouped by themes. One which is interesting for me is the HSK1, HSK2, HSK3, HSK4....the vocabulary I am supposed to know for the 4 Chinese class years. HSK is like Toefl for english, it is what I follow up in class and what should give me an official diploma of Chinese speaking. Interesting for work....maybe one day...For the moment it is too difficult for me...I am only 1/3 HSK1 !!!

Other tools to study chinese, like this one bellow, gives me a word and I have to recognize it. Or an other program is to learn writing.

I had a quick look for french, there are some intereseting programs too, for example grammar....

If you had an iPhone too, we could send sms to each other for free, emails too of course. We could phone each other for free, using voip. We could keep easily in touch for free, anywhere / anytime with no need of a computer. It would help to deal with the distance and the lag time. We could use a gps soft to show where your lover is....etc....etc....etc...

I want you to have an iPhone !!!! :) Please, get information with your phone company about 3G registering.

But maybe, depending on what will happen for you and your job, I'd better keep the money for more important things :)

In France, this is the coldest and the longest winter since 22 years !! It is really not fun anymore, very boring too. I don't wan't to be cold anymore on my motobyke to go to work. For sure, if we decide to live in france, we will buy a car ! Still a couple of weeks and spring is back !

Everyday, I get the weather forcast of Taiwan and I see "sun", 20°-25° ..... I want to be in Taiwan !!!

This month is really very busy....
My company had a foreign visitor..so that we had to take him to make a tour.
We came to National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium last weekend and saw a lot of penguins..haha
But I didn't have a camera with me. I only have a smalll pic with dolphin. Do you like it?

二月 is also about half way between our last meeting and the coming one. Yes !!! This week we are closer to the next trip together rather than to the previous one. This is a good new isn't it ?

The next trip together, intialy 二月三号 is not really sure, probably a week earlier or a week later. Never mind, in about two months we can hug each other, et plus si affinités hahaha. We plan to go to Kaoshiung in south of Taiwan, maybe we won't have time enough and stay in Taichung or elsewhere....wherever we'll go, we'll be together and we will take two more pictures for our penguin pictures' album.

Unusual story...for sure it is unusual. It began 2 years ago in 2008 during a business trip.
